Hei, Birgitta. Denne markøren stod som et varsel ved en flat sementkonstruksjon, denne ble oversvømmet ved høyvann. Dette er på sydkysten av England, der tidevannsforkjellene er store. Det er altså sementkonstruksjonen rett under overflaten som lager det fine rutemønsteret av bølgene ... dette mønsteret som man faktisk også finner merkøren. Ha en fin helg :)
I like the photo and it seems well suited for black and white. It has a nice little reflection too. I live near the ocean but I don't know what a wave guide is. :)
I've never heard of a wave guide either, but if it had anything to do with getting those waves to criss-cross like this, it's very cool. I like your monochrome composition, Rune. I've also scrolled down further on your blog, and you take awesome insect macros. I like many of your photos and they are worth enlarging.
Thanks a lot for all feedback. Just a little explanation also in English. The sign is set up as a warning, there is a construcrion made of concrete which is hidden under the surface when the tide is high. Where the water is shallow, the waves changes their movement - and sometimes into the same triangular pattern as "the waveguide". The picture is taken on the south coast of England, between Beckshill and Hastings.
It is so interesting the wave the wave guider has the V shape in it's construction and the waves in front of it are in the shape of an X. I find this combination of the linear to be so very interesting. This is an awesome shot and especially impressive in black and white. Genie
